For many years, I have had an unreasonable and completely without merit dislike for CBS shows. I think it is because they have jam packed their line up with boring, magic solves everything CSI episodes.
However, thanks to my pal TC, I have enjoyed How I Met Your Mother episode after episode. It's my favorite way to watch television. It is very funny. Who would have thought?
It helps that two of the main characters are from two of my all time favorite shows of the past, Doogie Howser, MD and Freaks and Geeks. AND! One of the main characters is from St. Cloud, Minnesota and they were dead on with their jokes about salads made with lots and lots of mayonnaise in Minnesota.

I have come to love How I Met Your Mother although I didn't start watching it regularly until the middle of last season. It is one show I honestly look forward to watching.
Doogie just doesn't do it for me. But because you suggested it, Sara, I will give it a whirl.
