WATER SKIING-Really, this applies to all lake, river, and ocean type water activities. I am fearful of the huge boats. Even though the boats have just as much power as cars, there are no traffic lights, police, or driving lanes in a lake. For all I know, a boat might not see me and run me over. I know, this all stems from fear, but sometimes fear is a good thing. I will watch from the shore or in the boat with a well-suited life jacket around my tense body.

I also do not enjoy waterskiing. It's less that I'm afraid and more that I just don't like doing it. I can't see the fun in it.

I love waterskiing. It's exhilirating. I have a bit of daredevil in me and water skiing is where it comes out. You won't see me jumping out of planes, but waterskiing.... the wind flying through your hair, the speed of it and you're on just these two little sticks of wood, the heat and cool splash of the water.

Love it.

(However, I can't stand snow skiing.)

Our lake actually requires that all boats go the same direction :) It helps with my fear but I know the feeling. I worry every time I fall into the water. Because of that, I tend to ski on "off-peak" hours.
