Movie Wagon

Tonight I saw Episode III. I thought it was good. Like always, they could have wrapped up the light-saber fights, but I get it. That is their thing. It cleared up a lot of questions for me with the story.

It inspired me to watch Return of the Jedi again to remember how it all gets wrapped up. It also inspired me to start my online video rentals again. I quit my video watching once school started because I would not have the time, but with summer vacation just around the corner, I will have lots of time.

So, what should I watch? I have been to three movies in 2005. Episode III, In Good Company, and Hitch. So, there are a lot of movies that I still need to see. Use the following rules when recommending movies...

  • I don't like romantic comedies.
  • I like comedies that are smart or have a bit of toilet humor in them.
  • I like dramas, but not thrillers.
  • I like movies that make me think.
  • I like documentaries.
  • I like period movies.
  • I don't like animation.
  • I like action movies with super heroes.
  • I like most indie movies.
  • I like old movies, but only if they are good. Like must sees.
  • I love mafia movies.
  • I like dark comedies.
  • I very rarely re-watch movies.
  • I only like Star Wars for science fiction.

So, if you want to recommend something, leave a comment. Please.

Sara-

I would definitely put Sideways on your list of must-see rentals. I think it will fit in your category of smart comedies with a bit of toilet humor.

I have been using Blockbuster online to keep up with the movies I never get to see. I saw The Manchurian Candidate a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. I liked Ray as well. That's all that comes to mind at the moment.

Hi there. How's Iowa today? I have a good friend from Cedar Rapids; she and I rode RAGBRAI years ago. That's one long party!

Anyway, if you haven't seen them, rent Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Memento. You won't be sorry!

Have you seen "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest"?

It's a classic that I KNOW you would like.

Another suggestion from myself and a friend of mine is "A Bronx Tale."

And my final suggestion, one that is a personal favorite, however it may be intriguing to you but probably won't be a favorite, is "Raging Bull." Another classic. Just make sure you're in the mood for a Scorsese film when you rent it.
