Finally. I am so glad that the St. Louis Cardinals won the World Series last night. Not so much because I am a baseball fan, but because I am a Tim fan. He has been a diehard fan since he was a child. He is a true sports fan. He has the right mix of hatred for rivals and hope for a championship. After an embarrassing loss in the World Series two years ago, he was vindicated last night with the Cardinals' first championship since 1982.
Now, we just need the Vikings to win the Super Bowl, but I won't hold my breath.

Consider the diehard Cubs fans who are looking down the barrel of 100 years without a World Series. My husband, a transplanted Chicagoan, lives and dies by them every year. It's the only reason we have ever had cable. So you are lucky this year.
As a diehard Cubs fan, it pains me greatly to see the Cards win the World Series. I will always cheer against them, as well as the Astros.
Sorry, Sara, I can't join in your joy for Tim's team. I can only weep in my beer and point out that there is always next year. ;P

I'm embarrassed to admit that I have not been reading your blog as often as I should. I'm so glad I did tonight though, because I can totally relate. My hubby is also a huge Cardinals fan! I'm wondering how hard core Tim is...do you have to stay in the same spot you were in if the Cardinals suddenly do something good? Does your husbands sudden urge to get affectionate have anything to do with the outcome of the game???
